What is ISO 27001 certification?

As an officially standardized and audited specification, ISO 27001 is the authoritative international standard for information security management (ISMS). The specifications, regulations and checks carried out by the ISMS certification ensure that company, customer and employee data is protected and that it is stored, processed and deleted in accordance with predefined security standards.

Highly effective risk management and the implementation of and compliance with regulations such as the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) guarantee certified data and information security. To ensure compliance, the ISO 27001 certification is audited by a company that has personnel qualified by the BSI and is accredited by the German accreditation body (DAkkS) (e.g. TÜV Rheinland).
