Manufacturing Execution System | MES

Your Benefit

gfos streamlines production and optimizes both processes and organization. Extensively developing numerous paperless processes ensures effective production management. Anticipated levels will be relieved of routine functions, thereby facilitating concentrating on core tasks.

Holistic management of operational data with gfos.Production - Transparent mapping of all production processes

MES means Manufacturing Execution Systems. MES systems deliver information that enables the optimization of production processes - from receiving orders up to the finished product. Based on current and exact data, MES drives production activities and initializes, answers and reports activities as they occur during production. Consequently, quick reactions to changes influencing production processes are enabled. Furthermore, reducing duties adding no value is realized. The result is effective production and process flows.

gfos.Production displays, controls and manages all company resources along the value added processes, thus providing the basis for sound management and employee decisions. The functionality spectrum includes:

  • time recording
  • plant data collection
  • detailed planning
  • production control
  • traceability
  • quality management
  • logistics
  • manpower deployment planning
  • personnel demand planning
  • resource administration (material, tools and personnel)
  • access control

gfos.Prodution streamlines your production as well as optimizes your processes and organization. Your production plant´s operational readiness will be improved, your production goods on-time delivery will be expedited and storage cycles shortened. Production capacities will be utilized with considerably more flexibility. Consequently, efficiency levels increase.

VDI-KfiT-MES technical committee

As one of the leading MES providers in the German-speaking realm, GFOS mbH is involved with the VDI-KfiT-Fachausschuss (technical committee) MES, which strives for uniform descriptions and explanations for Manufacturing Execution Systems terminology. The definitions created by the technical committee are published as VDI guidelines and constitute the basis for further planned activities. So for example, specifying logical interfaces between MES and connected control systems are established as a long-term goal in the committee. Overall the activities should therefore serve to establish the "MES" concept in the production field and prevent degradation by new (trendy) terms.
